"We contracted with Hook Data to help speed the time from when we receive an online order to when the product is at the loading dock ready for shipment. This involves downloading the order(s) from our hosted shopping cart (Mals-E), importing the customer, order & payment details into QuickBooks, processing the order & payment in QuickBooks and then creating the shipping document in FedEx software. They really understood our business processes after learning about our needs and had many great suggestions for improvement we had not considered. Ken and Mike wrote software that would format, move and verify data each step of the way. The results were outstanding. Before each order was manually input and processed one at a time with occasional errors due to incorrect entry and a time of 3-4 minutes per order and another 1-2 minutes to manually create the shipping label. We now import one or a hundred orders in just a few seconds and can have each order processed and ready to ship in 20-30 seconds as well as virtually eliminating errors. It was very affordable and paid for itself in the first two months. The only regret we have is that we did not invest in streamlining our business processes years before."
